General Product Safety Regulation
The new EU General Product Safety Regulation 2023/988 entered into force in December 2024, providing a new general product safety framework for the digital era. The Regulation applies to a multitude of products placed or made available to consumers in the EU market and sets out safety obligations for manufacturers, importers, distributors, as well as authorised representatives and fulfilment service providers.
