Personalised medicine as a challenge for patent law
This book is a practical guide for lawyers, public servants, medical doctors, scientists, researchers and everyone interested in personalised medicine field, who are seeking a first point of reference; to identify patent protection for several categories of personalised medicine: truly personalised, precision medicine based on a previously known substance or composition (also known as drug re-purposing) and individualised therapies.
It will address following questions: what personalised therapies are, could they be excluded from patent protection, and if not, whether patent protection equally applies for personalised diagnostic results, personalised products and processes of their development/manufacture.
